CABARROGUIS, Quirino, Nov. 17 (PIA)-The Sangguniang Panlalawigan here has adopted Resolution authorizing Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua on behalf of the provincial government, to provide assistance to the provinces of Isabela and Cagayan, and the City of Tuguegarao who are greatly devastated by Typhoon Ulysses

Under Resolution No. 140, it was stated that although this province was not spared from the wrath of the said typhoon, its officials and residents felt the need to extend assistance and support to the people of the City of Tuguegarao and provinces of Cagayan and Isabela

“Luckily there are only damages to properties and infrastructures as compared to the numerous damages to life and property in nearby provinces and cities in the region which up to present is experiencing the calamity,” the resolution stated.

Around 2,000 food packs shall be given to the Province of Cagayan; 2,000 food packs to the Province of Isabela; and 1,000 food packs to the City of Tuguegarao, aside from water and other basic necessities, and deployment of rescue and relief personnel.

The provincial government may still opt to increase or supplement the said assistance depending on the availability of resources.

As of press time, some Search And Rescue teams composed of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Office, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Governor’s Rapid Bugadors Association are already deployed in Amulong and Tuguegarao City to assist in the conduct of rescue, and distribution of relief goods.

Aside from these, the Provincial Health Office also sent health teams to assist in providing the medical needs of the flood victims. Some vitamins were also distributed.
