Blessing Ige Adekunle, Divisional Police Officer of the Adeeke Police Station in Iwo, Osun State, is accused of ordering some police officers to brutally assault Mba, a 27-year-old mother of two.
According to her account to DAILY POST, the incident happened when she went looking for her 15-year-old son on Friday after learning that he had not returned home and had been detained by the police.

The police officers at the station, according to her, know her because her home is nearby, she claims. She explained that since he left on Monday, May 30, at one in the morning on Tuesday, Friday hadn’t been home.
Below are some of her statements:
“I didn’t bother answering the phone when one of the station officers called.” As soon as I realized they might have detained my son, I went to the station.
“I had been hearing the torture infiltrating and wailing of some of the people arrested in the middle of the night on that same day before the call,” the mother of two told the DAILY POST.
Blessing was at the station when she was assaulted by pápá, a police officer who accused her of bringing “sacrifice” to the station.
“A police officer at the entrance recognized me and opened the gate for me when I said that my son was there. He told me to check him at the counter. A different police officer, Pápá, started torturing me. He pushed me in the direction of the DPO and said I had come here to make a sacrifice.

While Blessing was pleading for her life and eventually passed out, the officers allegedly threatened her, saying, “We will kill you, shoot you, and nobody will ask of you.”
