Why I Refused To Honour Invitations To Preach In Other Churches – Father Oluoma Discloses

While preaching to his members about mission and attention, the Priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, Reverend Father Oluoma Chinenye John, popularly known as Father Oluoma, disclosed why he refused to honour invitations to preach in other churches.

He started by saying that Christians should be dedicated to their mission, both in the family and in the church. He said they should not allow any religious practice to make them deviate from their mission because God will not use them and make them useless to their assignment (mission).

Speaking about why he refused to honour invitations to preach in other churches, he said his mission or assignment is in the church he is heading, not other churches. He said he gets a lot of invitations to preach in other churches but he turns them down because there is no need going to preach elsewhere when he is yet to solve all the problems of his members.

He added that there are Priests in those places, and they should do their assignments. “I cannot use because I’m a minister to focus on preaching in those churches and neglect my mission here. If I do that, I will become useless”, he concluded.
