First of the official hopefuls to declare his withdrawal to help his co-competitor, Bola Tinubu, in the race was Senator Godswill Akpabio. Congressperson Akpabio, who as of late surrendered his arrangement as the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, declared his withdrawal on Tuesday night in Abuja.

He cleared up that he made the choice for stride down for the APC tribal leader in light of a legitimate concern for the party and the country, and requested that his allies set up their shelters with the previous Lagos State lead representative.

The previous clergyman was tending to a horde of APC members containing party pioneers, delegates, and different allies at the Eagle Square, the setting of the official show in the country’s capital.

Likewise, six different hopefuls mounted the platform to report their withdrawal from the challenge for the APC official ticket and resulting support for Tinubu. They include:

1. Previous legislative leader of Ogun State.

2. Governor Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State.

3. Dimeji Bankole, Previous Speaker of the House of Representatives.

4. Governor Abubakar Badaru, Jigawa State Governor.

5. Senator Ajayi Boroffice.

6. Uju Ken-Ohanenye, who is the only female in the race.
