The ruling All Progressive Congress on Tuesday, June 7, has revealed the time for voting to elect a flag bearer for the party, as accredittion of voters begins.

The voting will commence at exactly 6pm, and the results are expected to be out by 10pm.

Reports coming from the Eagles Square, Abuja, which is the venue for the APC National Convention (party primary election), show how over 2000 delegates appeared to elect their party flag bearer.

The election exercise, which started Monday, June 6, will have its result announced Tuesday, June 7.

It was earlier reported that the APC governors sent five names of aspirants from the Southern region to be considered as the consensus candidate. This development comes after the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu, announced the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, as the consensus candidate. This decision became unequivocal and sent the party into a state of confusion for a short moment.

Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, Yemi Osibanjo, and Chibuike Ameachi, amongst others, are said to have higher odds of becoming the party’s flag bearer. Do follow me for live updates from Eagles Square.
