The dancer, 32, opened up about her insecurities and learning to love again after her messy split with Michael Goonan, in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday.

‘Australia knows me as a girl on a reality TV show searching for love. I think everyone saw I was genuine with a big heart,’ she began.

The former bride explained that since leaving the show she has felt very emotional and has learned to ‘block a lot’ of her past experiences.

‘I have not been able to open myself up to love,’ she said, referring to her split from businessman Michael in July last year.

‘I am scared that I will give my heart to the wrong person again and it will only bring me more insecurities,’ she added.

KC continued: ‘You may think I have a perfect life from what I show [on Instagram] but there are nights where I feel so alone and like I will never meet someone that is going to accept and love me the way I love.

‘All we can do is learn and recognise our flaws, not beat ourselves up and move on trying to make changes and deciding we want a life that is good for our soul.’

‘Sorry that was deep but that’s who I really am and I’m not going to pretend I’m someone I’m not.

Real: 'Even though I get Botox and a little work done it doesn't mean that I have changed or I'm fake. I genuinely love the beauty world and I should never have to feel bad about what I do to my body,' she said

‘I am happy with my looks and feel blessed.’

KC concluded the post by saying she still needs to work on how she approaches relationships.

‘In the past all the nice guys I never give the time of day and the bad boys well let’s just say I see the “good in them” what I’ve realised is I push good people away,’ she said.

‘As life goes on and we get older it’s the good people we should want around. The ones that are ride or die. The ones that show up regardless.’
