She became the first ever Queen of the Castle after being crowned as the winner of the first UK series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Friday night.

And Giovanna Fletcher’s brother Mario Falcone has bagged a staggering £9,000 after betting a grand on his sibling, 35, to win the reality TV show.

The former TOWIE star, 32, is yet to collect his winnings after he put down the wager from day one of the series at odds of 9-1, according to The Sun.

Speaking to the publication before her victory was revealed by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, Mario said: ‘I’ve got a cheeky bet on my sister – from day one – so I’ll be pretty happy.

‘I got nine to one odds and I put £1,000 on.’

And Mario joked Giovanna will also be relieved by his betting success because she would have had to pay him back if she didn’t walk away with the famous I’m A Celebrity crown.

The reality star added he had complete faith in his sister and felt she ‘deserved’ the victory following her stint on the hit ITV show.

He continued: ‘Oh, she’s gonna win. If she doesn’t she owes me grand.’

And Mario was not the only one who thought that the author would win I’m A Celebrity, as Mark Wright took to Twitter to brag of his prediction prowess.

The TOWIE star, 33, who starred on I’m A Celeb in 2011, bragged that he had urged fans to cash in on his former love rival Mario’s sister’s victory – but deleted the message shortly after.

The star instructed his friends to vote after one of his pals wrote: ‘What is Mario Falcone’s sister doing on it?’, to which Mark said: ‘Bet on her right now’.

Speaking on Saturday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… The Daily Drop, the author said that she felt like she has proved mothers can ‘do anything’ after winning the show.

Giovanna continued: ‘So I feel like I showed that mums can do anything and mostly I hope I made my kids proud. I guess I’ll find that out when I get home.’

She also gushed over how excited she is to cuddle her beloved kids and her McFly star husband Tom, before quipping that a few ‘tantrums’ may make her miss the castle.

The blogger said: ‘Tomorrow back into it all with a bang. Give it a few tantrums and I’ll be wishing to be back in castle life.’

She continued: ‘Soon as I’m home I’m just going to have loads of kisses and cuddles and immerse myself back into reality.’
