Carly Pearce brings her adorable dog June as her panting plus one at the 2021 CMT Music Awards

Carly Pearce brought a very special plus one to Wednesday night’s CMT Music Awards ceremony in Nashville: her lovable white dog June.

The 31-year-old singer–songwriter brought along her tiny special guests as she hit the red carpet at the award show.

The panting pooch, who’s named for the late country icon June Carter Cash, was dressed to the nines for the occasion with an achingly adorable pink bow tie that matched her leash, but Carly didn’t exactly disappoint either.

The Every Little Thing singer looked angelic in a lacy white crop top that showcased her taut tummy, along with a matching set of high-waisted shorts covered in pink, purple and white floral designs.

She stayed on the same thing with a matching coat with silver beads and pearl trim.

The Kentucky-born musician flaunted her tanned and toned legs while standing tall in a sparkling silver pair of pointy heels.

She had her dirty blond locks parted down the middle and resting over her shoulders to showcase her elegantly made-up face and her silver hoop earrings.

Carly shared some affectionate kisses with little June while they showed off on the red carpet.

Luckily, the pooch was well-behaved while out in public.

‘I’m just glad that she didn’t use the bathroom on the carpet and embarrass me or bite someone or pull my outfit all apart,’ Carly told ET after the show. ‘But, she’s good. I’m proud of her.’

Later in the evening, she shared some photos of her and June on the red carpet to Instagram.

‘I definitely had the hottest date at the #cmtawards #june,’ she wrote.

A day earlier she revealed a partnership online with Iams dog and cat food, so the dog’s appearance at the show may just have been to help with her endorsement.

The performer was nominated in the prestigious Female Video of the Year category for her Next Girl, though the award went to Gabby Barrett, who backed out of the show two days beforehand.

She did well earlier in awards season at the ACM Awards in April, when she and Lee Brice won Single of the Year for I Hope You’re Happy Now.

The singers also performed the track during the show.

The band kicked off the show with a confetti-filled performance of their song Like A Lady, with Carly dropping by for a guest verse while Lindsey Ell shredded on the guitar.

She put on another leggy display in a hypnotizing silver sequined mini dress with black heels that strapped around her ankles.

The performance was originally meant to include Gabby Barrett, who was replaced by Lindsey, though Gabby still managed to beat out Carly for Female Video of the Year.
