It is no longer surprising to see fellow social media stars competing against each other in the boxing ring. Most times it’s not a matter of enmity, instead, it is about the massive response it brings and the insane potential for monetization. There are many influencers joining internet-personality turned professional boxer, Jake Paul, in giving it a shot in the ring. While Jake has opted to go pro, these creators have decided to stick to a more casual celebrity boxing style.
What Is This Boxing Event?
According to LiveXLive Media, Inc., “‘Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms,’ a monumental boxing and entertainment live event featuring the biggest names in social media, is announced to take place in June 2021.” Numerous of the world’s largest influencers will be involved including Austin McBroom, Bryce Hall, Danny Duncan, DDG, Deji, FaZe Jarvis, Michael Le, Nate Wyatt, Tanner Fox, Tayler Holder, Vinnie Hacker and more.
Why Is The Event Such A Drag?
This event dubbed “Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms” is a one-of-a-kind battle. Along with being a pay-per-view match, the event will see a boxing competition amongst some of the world’s biggest YouTube stars and TikTok stars. This fight promises to not only bring in hundreds of thousands of fans from YouTube but will also draw the younger audience from Tik Tok.
How Much Money Will Bryce Hall Make?
According to Hall, Austin McBroom initially offered the star $1 million for participating in the fight. However, the TikTok star declined that offer at that time. Bryce posted his and Austin’s texts in which McBroom said, “I pay my cleaning lady more than you make in a year. Come get this smoke,” with Bryce replying, “you’re 30 bro, you’re acting like a highschooler rn.”
According to Dexerto, Bryce posted an image on March 15 which mentioned that talent would be paid $5 million to participate in the fight. He captioned the photo: “now we’re talking… @austinmcbroom you FINALLY got my attention.”
